a 12-year-old teenager bitten by a pit bull in Chambéry, the master flees

A 12-year-old boy was bitten by a dog this Sunday in downtown Chambéry (Savoie). The victim was in the street when the pit bull bit him in the calf while getting out of a car, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie.

The master immediately got back into his car and fled without worrying about the state of the teenager. The latter called his parents, who went there and took their son to the hospital.

A complaint lodged

An investigation for “unintentional injuries” has been opened by the police. According to the first elements, the dog was neither muzzled nor kept on a leash at the time of the events.

No witness would have attended the scene, specifies The Dauphine. Investigators will use CCTV footage of the area in the hope of identifying the dog and its owner. For his part, the young boy filed a complaint, accompanied by his parents.
