A pet store contacts an emergency association: in the parking lot something turns their stomachs

L’Arche de Bagheera is an association under the 1901 law for the rescue and placement of rats, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters located in Île de France.

On the evening of Monday May 9, the teams of L’Arche de Bagheera intervened in the rescue of 9 rabbits.

Abandoned

The poor rodents had been abandoned in the parking lot of the Animalis pet store in their cage.

It was the teams of the animal facility who contacted the association specializing in the rescue of NAC (New Pets).

On going to the site, the rescuers discovered 4 adult females and 5 young rabbits of around 2 months old in the cages.

Two females in distress

Among the rodents, two were in a worrying state of health.

One female had incisors so long that they stuck out of her mouth. The rabbit also had masses.

Another female was paralyzed and did not move her legs. However, she had some slight leg movements when rescuers tested her for reflexes.

The rescuers urgently entrusted the two females to the veterinarian.

Appropriate care

The caregivers were able to remove the incisors that were too long for the female and give her appropriate treatment.

The other female who appeared to be paralyzed has had good exams and the caregivers found her to be full of energy. The results of the examinations will soon be able to shed light on his state of health.

The association thanks the Animalis teams for giving the alert and for their donations.
