A pony fallen into a hole saved by the Animal Rescue Team in Esneux (photos)

This Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., the firefighters were called to intervene in Esneux… in a garage of a house located rue Devant Rosière (in the loop of the Ourthe). A pony was indeed reported in danger… it had just fallen into a hole.

It is indeed a resident of rue Devant Rosière who, realizing that a small pony (from Vietnam) had escaped from his enclosure, warned its owner, a neighbor. During this short period of time, however, the pony entered the garage of the considerate neighbor and unfortunately fell completely into his pit.

On the spot, the firefighters therefore intervened with the help of the Animal Rescue Team of the Hesbaye zone. “And the collaboration was excellent”, we are assured at the level of this cell. Indeed, it will take less than an hour for rescuers to extract the animal from its pit, “with specific techniques”. The animal, which is doing well, was therefore able to be returned to its owner shortly before 4:30 p.m.

An owner all the more grateful that the Animal Rescue Team had already intervened during the floods of last July, in order to save his animals following the rising waters.
