The animal was taken in by an association which decided to give news to its owner with a message filled with empathy.
It is a touching and sad story. A few days ago a dog was found abandoned on a sidewalk in Wisconsin in the United States.
The animal was tied with a leash to a fire hydrant and was left alone.
A passerby found it. She decided to wait a bit, hoping that her master might change his mind and come back, before finally taking her to a shelter.
A poignant message
Next to the little dog was a small backpack filled with kibble, dog treats and her toys. And above all, all accompanied by a note from his master.
In the message addressed to the person who would find the animal and who would collect it, the owner declares that this little dog is named Baby girl, that she is 6 years old, as reported by Green Bay Press Gazette.
He specifies that he left her in a place where he was certain that she would be quickly discovered and taken care of. And above all, he confides that he loves her, that it is heartbreaking for him to separate from his “best friend” but that he has no choice because of health problems, he is in the obligation to separate.
News of the dog published by the shelter
The association which collected Baby girl, Wisconsin humane society, decided to publish a message addressed to its former master on Facebook.
In this message full of empathy, the volunteers of the association specify: “We’re so sorry you had to part ways with your ‘best friend’. It’s obvious how much you loved her and we can see you did your best while battling your own medical complications and challenges. of life”.
The word doesn’t stop there: “We see your love in the bag you carefully packed with all her favorite things. We see your love in the way you secured her leash so she wouldn’t get knocked over. by a car. We see your love in the way you placed her in the middle of a neighborhood where she would quickly be found. We see your love in the way Baby Girl looks happy and healthy. And we see your love in the note you left, begging for help when you couldn’t anymore.”
Before concluding : “Rest assured that she is safe, receiving tons of attention from our team, and on her way to finding her next loving family very soon.”
The association also wanted to clarify that anyone who finds themselves in such a situation does not have to fear the slightest judgment on their part.
Indeed, the shelter welcomes animals anonymously.
