A DS Avocats team made up of Véronique Fröding, Stéphane Gasne and Grégory Gutierrez, partners, advised the Fnac Darty group on the signing of a greenfield PPA with Valeco, a specialist in renewable energy projects from their development to their dismantling.
The PPA (power purchase agreement or energy purchase contract) relates to the production of a photovoltaic park which will be built in the Centre-Val de Loire region, with an installed power of 20MW. This future solar park, which will see the light of day in 2023, will cover 16% of the annual energy consumption of Fnac Darty sites in France.
In line with the group’s desire to reduce its carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, this new PPA comes on top of the first wind power purchase agreement signed in January 2021 with Valeco. The two combined contracts will represent one third of the group’s annual consumption.
