1 cupapricot preserves
1/4 cuprice vinegar
1 tbspsoy sauce
1 tbsphoisin sauce
1 tspgrated fresh ginger
1/4 tspgarlic powder
1/4 tsponion powder
1/4 tspred pepper flakes


  1. In a small saucepan, combine the apricot preserves, rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, grated ginger, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the ingredients are well combined and the apricot preserves have melted.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the duck sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
  4. Remove the duck sauce from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Once the duck sauce has cooled, transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
