Crédit Agricole Assurances announces the arrival of a new tandem with Florence Barjou as Director of Investments and Matthieu Lance as Deputy Director of Investments.
Florence Barjou has been appointed Director of Investments at Crédit Agricole Assurances, alongside Matthieu Lance as Deputy and Head of Real Assets and Investments. They will both take up their duties in March 2022.
A graduate of the University of Paris Dauphine and holder of a doctorate in economics from the University of Nanterre, Florence Barjou began her career in the economic research department of BNP’s investment bank. She then joined Lyxor in 2006 where she held the position of global macro strategist and portfolio manager. In 2013, Florence Barjou became deputy head of the absolute performance & solutions division, then deputy managing director of the CIO. In 2020, she was promoted to director of investments at Lyxor, a management company which has just passed into the fold of Amundi, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole.
A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, Matthieu Lance began his career in financial engineering on structured finance. He then joined Banque Lazard in 1998 where he advised major industrial clients and investment funds in mergers & acquisitions. He then joined BNP Paribas as managing director corporate finance, successively responsible for the chemical, aerospace, defense and automotive industrial sectors. In 2016, Matthieu Lance joined Crédit Agricole CIB as Deputy Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, an activity for which he has been Global Co-Head since the end of 2019.
