Gendarmes attacked by a dog forced to fire

The gendarmes were called by a woman who had picked up two stray dogs, but the intervention degenerated.

It all starts this Friday at the start of the afternoon in Bohain-en-Vermandois, in the Aisne. A resident has recovered a Malinois and an American staff that belong to her neighbor. This one is absent and she does not want the dogs to go to the pound.

As reported by L’Aisne Nouvelle, the hours pass but the lady finds herself overwhelmed by the animals. Around 10:30 p.m., she decided to call the gendarmes. When the forces of order arrive, things will degenerate.

The malinois will succeed in escaping from the house and will bite a first policeman. An electric pulse gun is used on the animal but it resists the shock and will bite a second soldier.

The police have no choice but to fire twice at the animal. Injured, the malinois was euthanized overnight. To perform the injection, the gendarmes contacted the owner and had to pick her up, as she was not transported.

The two injured gendarmes escaped with wounds to their hands. As the regional daily explains, a complaint has been filed against the owner.
