Google Cloud on Monday announced its appointment of Ariel Salpeter as enterprise sales manager in Israel. Salpeter joined Google Cloud after about two years at Microsoft, where he served as vice president of business partners and large-scale operations, and was a member of the Microsoft Israel board of directors. Previously, he led consulting and collaboration with enterprise organizations at research and advisory firm Gartner. He holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the College of Management and Academic Studies at Rishon Lezion.
Google Cloud’s local enterprise division serves customers from a wide range of industries, including finance, retail, telecommunications, transportation, manufacturing, and media. He partners with customers throughout their digital transformation and focuses on creating business value, creating new drivers or improving existing ones in cloud domains.
The creation of the Google Cloud region in Israel comes after the company recently won the Nimbus tender. Google Cloud will use new tools, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, to develop new products and improve existing ones, thereby increasing the capacity and latency of information transmission.
“Since winning the nimbus tender, we have worked hard to build our local capacities in the public and private sectors. Today’s enterprise customers are more eager than ever to join the cloud. Salpeter will expand the sales team to support this business and ensure the best existing and new services,” commented Boaz Maoz, Israel County Regional Director of Google Cloud.
“My role is to help our clients improve and continue their digital transformation, and I am committed to helping them do so while creating significant business value,” added Salpeter.
