He hits his dog and drags him behind his electric scooter

A 37-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening in Paris in the 12th arrondissement for cruelty to a domestic animal. He is suspected of beating and dragging his dog, an American Staffordshire, behind his electric scooter.

At around 6:50 p.m., the police were called by a woman in shock describing a man who had just hit his dog in rue Maurice-Denis. A patrol goes there and discovers a woman in tears. She explains that the executioner of this dog fled on his machine. Moreover, he had attached the animal to his two-wheeler dragging him mercilessly.

Arrested at his home

The officials note the presence of numerous traces of blood on the ground and begin to follow them. The track leads to the entrance of a building from the street. The investigators question the guard who informs them that the man they are looking for lives on the third floor. On the landing of the suspect’s door, they discover new traces of blood.

At first, the tenant refuses to open. And after several minutes of negotiations, he ends up unlocking his door before being arrested. His two dogs are cared for by the canine brigade. “He constantly has problems with his dogs”says a neighbor.

The suspect was taken into custody at the police station. At the end, it could be presented in court. He risks a fine and a ban on keeping pets.
