Did you buy a game, app or movie from the Google Play Store? Have you realized that the content or operation of the latter is far from your expectations and you would like to be reimbursed? It’s possible ! Here are the different steps you need to follow to request a refund on Google Play Store.
Step 1: Go to Google Play Store homepage
To request a refund on Google Play Store, you must first access the platform’s homepage. Take your smartphone or computer.
- Go to the menu and open your browser (Chrome, Opera Mini, etc.).
- Type ” google.comin the address bar.
The Google Play Store homepage should appear on the screen. To be sure that you are at the right address, check that the logo followed by the Google Play inscription is indeed in the top section of the site.

Step 2: Find the “Account” tab
Now look for the sidebar “Account“. To find it, click on the tab with three horizontal lines located at the top of the interface, in the left corner.

Step 3: Click on “Order History”

Step 4: Find the affected app or game
Scroll until you find the game or movie you want to return and tap on it. You will access a page where there is information about the application or game.
Using one finger, scroll to “Additional Information“. You find in particularUpdate», «Cut», «Facilities», «Proposed by» and in last position «Developer“. In this subheading, tap on the developer’s email address.
Step 5: Request a refund
As soon as you click on the email address of the app developer, game or producer, you will be asked to choose an email type (Gmail or Yahoo Mail).
This is the one through which you will send your request. Your choice should take into account the email you usually use.
In the message you are going to write, you must clearly and politely explain to the developer your reasons. Indeed, even if your request is legitimate, he has complete freedom to grant you the refund or not.
