Funeral insurance covers the cost of the insured’s funeral. After death, relatives should contact the insurer. The latter will indicate the documents to be sent to him to release the funds. It is important tosend these documents by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, possibly doubled with a e-mail. The insurer must disburse the funds within the time limits stipulated in the contract (generally 48/72 hours, working days after receipt of the requested documents).
Depending on the case, they pay them either to the person designated in the contract, either to the funeral home chosen by the family (on estimate), or by the insured. If he does not pay them, contact a conciliator at the registry of the district court on which you depend.
