The story that ends well begins with a call from the family to the police. We are at the start of the evening, this Tuesday, October 25. Relatives are worried. Concerned because the nonagenarian, who left his home in Dizimieu in the afternoon to walk his dog, did not return home.
Immediately, the gendarmes from the various units of the Bourgoin-Jallieu company carry out the first searches. A dog team is also mobilized. But the 93-year-old lady is desperately nowhere to be found.
But the result, happy, intervenes around 10:30 p.m. when the gendarmes receive the call from a motorist. He is intrigued by the presence of an elderly lady due to the late hour at the Saint-Marcel-Bel-Accueil roundabout. Whereas he had crossed her a little earlier in the evening, during his outward journey, between L’Isle-d’Abeau and Saint-Marcel-Bel-Accueil.
The gendarmes immediately carry out the reconciliation. Once there, they find the elderly lady, still with her dog, in good health but disoriented. And his relatives were immediately reassured.
