It is his dog, an American Staffordshire, who responds to the name of Coffi, who is at the origin of the project. “When we adopted him 6 years ago, I wanted to make him little cookies. I immediately discovered the concept abroad and the idea of opening a pastry shop in his name in Luxembourg was born”.

I immediately discovered the concept abroad and the idea of opening a pastry shop in his name in Luxembourg was born”.

The former border worker from Thionville inaugurated her shop on November 6, 2021 and it is already a success: “There are many customers for whom the dog is a full member of the family, to whom we want to please and here, they find something new,” says Marjorie. Alone at the head of the shop, the craftswoman makes no less than eleven different ranges of cakes, made with “local and quality products”, she insists.

Biscuits flavored with bacon, goat cheese, carrots, nori sheet, or even coconut, Marjorie imagined all the recipes herself, which were then validated by Asta, the Administration of Technical Services for Agriculture, but also by his dog. “Coffi also has his little box with cakes that are a little overcooked or broken. He knows where to go to help himself,” she jokes.

Already available in the south of France

As a nod to Luxembourg, the pastry chef has included small bone-shaped Emmenthal-flavoured cakes with the inscription “Moien” and a cinnamon-flavored “I Love Luxembourg” candy in her collection. “These do not please the dogs but rather the masters,” she jokes.

The manager hopes soon to be able to export her pastries to the four corners of Luxembourg, several ranges are already available in the south of France. And if there are cakes left over, Marjorie also thinks of making abandoned animals happy: “I go twice a year to the National Animal Asylum, I brought three kilos there last Christmas, I don’t think the dogs get a lot of treats there…’.

In addition to the biscuit factory, CoffiCook also highlights many products from local and foreign artisans: leashes, collars, toys, hygiene products and even tires recycled in baskets. A true paradise for his doggie.
