Cholesterol is a disease that affects many people due to certain lifestyles, People Act Magazine tells you all about it.
Cholesterol is a disease that affects many people in France and around the world. It has many origins and can quickly become bothersome and dangerous for those who suffer from it. So, let’s see together the different cholesterol levels to have according to age.
Cholesterol, a really dangerous disease!
Some diseases are more or less dangerous than others. Indeed, there are different diseases that can have different effects on the body of those affected.
Cholesterol, for example, is a silent disease that is often detected too late.
However, cholesterol can be defined in three categories: total cholesterol, LDL (bad) and HDL (good). These different categories make it possible to propose rates which must vary according to age and according to the person.

It is therefore important to know that it is very difficult to manage these rates on a daily basis. Every food or drink we consume can have an impact on them.

But these also vary by sex. It is therefore important to understand that women and men do not have the same level of cholesterol in their bodies, because it varies between organisms and genetics.
In what follows, we will see the different rates to respect to stay in good health.
The different cholesterol levels to respect
It is important to know the different cholesterol levels. These allow you to know the risks and situations that may seem difficult.
They vary according to age, gender and lifestyle. For example, a child should not have the same cholesterol level as an adult, or an elderly person.
Over time, a person’s body tends to produce more cholesterol, which means all adults should check their cholesterol levels regularly, ideally every 4 to 6 years or so.

✨malnutrition✨But since I’m not a 36, I’ll be told to eat less* or better when my diabetes and cholesterol levels are normal 👍

From now on, we will focus on the rates to have and their different interpretations:
A total cholesterol level below 200 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) is considered desirable for adults. Conversely, a level between 200 and 239 mg/dL is borderline and a level of 240 mg/dL and above is considered high.
The LDL cholesterol level must be below 100 mg/dL. Conversely, a level of 130 to 159 mg/dL is borderline and a level of 160 to 189 mg/dL is high. A level of 190 mg/dL or more is considered very high.
HDL cholesterol levels must remain high. A level between 41 mg/dL and 59 mg/dL is considered the lower limit. The optimal HDL level is 60 mg/dL or higher.
These levels apply to healthy adults. But they also apply to children, although they are less likely to develop this disease.
Cholesterol levels in children
The situation is a little different for children, because they do not have the same morphology or the same way of life:
An acceptable total cholesterol level for a child is below 170 mg/dL. A borderline acceptable total cholesterol level for a child is between 170 and 199 mg/dL. If this rate is higher, the child is at risk.
For LDL cholesterol, a borderline level is between 110 and 129 mg/dL, while a high level is above 130 mg/dL.
But keeping it at a certain and safe level seems to be quite difficult. Indeed, it is a daily exercise and certain habits must be changed.
For example, it is very important to eat healthy and not to abuse fatty foods. This involves eating fruits and vegetables. But that’s not all.
Physical activity and sport are also a great way to stay in shape. Besides, it also helps the body get rid of any unpleasantness that may be present.
