The Norman society for the protection of animals (SNPA) launched a call for donations of food for cats at the end of February 2022. The shelter based in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) is indeed arriving on the reserve of this food which is essential for felines on a daily basis.

For the most difficult or to pass a treatment

“The mash is useful for those who are a bit shy of kibble – this may be the case for some newcomers -, but also to give the treatment, it goes well, explains Valérie Déve, coordinator of the SNPA. It makes it a bit of a must. The fifty residents of the refuge do not receive a sachet daily, but up to half take advantage of it on average.

In fact, you need to have large stocks to be able to keep up. “As soon as we arrive on the reserve, we naturally buy some, but we always ask people who follow us and who want to help. The SNPA already thanks the students who mobilized in large numbers after an initial message posted on social networks.

To contribute too, simply drop off a donation between 9 a.m. and noon or between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the refuge located on Île Lacroix at 7, bis avenue Jacques-Chastellain. A donation box should be set up for this purpose.
