Samsung’s Galaxy A series will continue to be the Korean brand’s main growth driver in 2022 and one of the most anticipated members is the Galaxy A53 5G. The device has been the subject of numerous leaks and certification listings and the latest is from Google’s Play Console.

The listing reveals an image of the front of the phone along with some key specs. The Galaxy A53 5G will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1200 chipset with model number S5e8825. The yet-to-be-released SoC is expected to serve as a successor to the Exynos 1080 and features two high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz. The GPU department will be managed by Mali G68.

Elsewhere, the A53 will bring an FHD+ (1080 x 2400px) resolution display with a punch-hole cutout, 8GB of RAM, and Android 12 with OneUI 4.0 on top. Previous Galaxy A53 leaks have suggested a 6.52-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 64MP main camera on the rear alongside a 12MP ultrawide snapper, and two auxiliary modules of 5 MP and a 5000 mAh battery with 25 W charging.
