the boats joining the island of Bréhat are now paying for dogs

Your dog will no longer be able to go to the island of Bréhat (Côtes-d’Armor) for free. Since April 1, Breton canines must have a ticket to board one of the Vedettes de Bréhat boats, which link the island to the town of Ploubazlanec, reports The Telegram.

The always free ride for cats

Masters must pay 2.50 euros (round trip) for their four-legged friend. The price does not vary according to the size of the dog and it is not necessary to reserve a place for them in advance, unlike humans. The dog must also be kept on a leash during the journey.

It is the Region which took this decision for the nautical transport of the sector. For now, cats can still sail to (or from) Île de Bréhat for free… but that might not last.
