Three students plead in Albania!

Until March 26, Jennifer Lachance, Rachel Sarfati and Tania Brunetall candidates for a master’s degree in law at Université Laval, pleaded in Albania and are one of approximately 50 three-person teams to participate in a simulation of a fictional armed conflict.

They participated in the Jean-Pictet Competition, a student event aimed at training in international humanitarian law.

The teams must play the role of actors in armed conflicts, including in particular lawyers and politicians.

Rachel, Jennifer and Tania are all associated with Osons le DIH! Promotion and strengthening of IHL, an organization dedicated to international criminal and humanitarian law at Laval University. They now represent the Faculty of Law in the Pictet competition.

Jennifer Lachance is doing a master’s degree in international and transnational law at Laval University, where she works jointly with Osons le DIH! as well as with the Clinic for International Criminal and Humanitarian Law (CDIPH).

Rachel Sarfati is a master’s student in international relations and a master’s degree in international and transnational law at Université Laval, and also works with the CDIPH.

Tania Brunet is currently a master’s candidate at Laval University and works with the CDPIH, notably on the Lexsitus legal translation project.
