Tokio Marine HCC International restructures its TRI division

In order to support its development on the mergers and acquisitions market, the insurer Tokio Marine HCC International will restructure its TRI (Transaction Risk Insurance) division with several appointments.

Booming in the M&A market, Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) is reorganizing its Transaction Risk Insurance (TRI) division. The insurer thus created two new units: TRI North America and TRI International.

Shane de Burca will lead the North American business “and will focus on supporting customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico”, can we read in a press release. International activity (territories outside North America) will be managed by Adrià Vázquez from Barcelona.

To support the creation of these two new units, Tokio Marine HCC International is also announcing the appointment of Un J. Kritzman as TRI Underwriting Manager North America and Laura Roman as TRI Underwriting Manager International. “These new positions are designed to foster collaboration between regional TRI business teams on underwriting strategy, market trends and talent development”, continues the press release. Finally, Tom Burke was promoted to TRI Manager APAC. Based in Sydney, he will lead the business underwriting teams based in Singapore and Sydney.
