UEFA Executive Committee to meet on Friday after Russia’s military operation in Ukraine

“Following developments in the situation between Russia and Ukraine, the UEFA President has convened an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee at 10 a.m. on Friday 25 February, in order to assess the situation and take all necessary decisions”indicates the European body on social networks, specifying that a communication would take place in stride.

On Wednesday, the British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Liz Truss, called on English clubs to boycott, if necessary, the Champions League final, scheduled for Saint Petersburg on May 28. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also called on Tuesday to relocate the final outside of Russia, after Vladimir Putin recognized the pro-Russian separatist regions in eastern Ukraine.
